How to Support Your Child after Year 11

Young people are expected to stay in education or training until they're 18 years old, but they can decide how and where they do this. In general terms they can stay in full-time education, be in employment with formal training, like an apprenticeship, be self-employed or in training.

Most young people will follow the plan they made in Year 11 during this time but may need help deciding what to do after Year 12 or 13. If they are at school or college, they will provide your child with this support.
