Overview

Simon Langton Girls' Grammar has one of the best History Departments in Kent.  Our History course spans centuries, circles the globe and allows you to combine breadth and depth.  We examine the breadth of political, economic, social and cultural history, and provide you with an exciting opportunity to go in depth into a topic of your choice for the coursework element.  The department also forges strong interactions with other disciplines such as politics, archival science and archaeology.

Unit 2: Non-British period study: The Cold War in Asia 1945-93
Unit 3: Depth Study – China and its Rulers 1839-1989

You could take this course with other advanced level courses or equivalent to prepare for higher education in History or related subjects such as English, American Studies, Politics , Archaeology or more general courses.
