What will you be working towards?
||Acting (Year 1)
The Level 3 Acting Year 1 Course will give you the opportunity to gain the qualifications, skills and experience to progress in the Performing Arts Industry or in any industry you wish to go on to study after the two years. This course provides a professional training in a theatre, with state of the art facilities. The Miskin is run by experienced industry professionals who will work with you to produce ground breaking, exciting theatre, and develop your skills and confidence to support you in the craft of acting. The Miskin will support you in becoming a well-trained, clear-thinking performer ready to take your first steps into the industry. You will also develop the skills that all employers are looking for, including team work, self-confidence, communication skills, self-motivation and the ability to meet targets. It is provisionally a 2-year programme that consists of the diploma in year 1 and a top up to an extended diploma in year 2.
How will it be delivered?
All of your work will follow a vocational scenario or context that simulates a real-world situation. This course is 100 % coursework. You will present your work in a range of formats. You will be assessed on your research, development and experimentation and final outcomes and you will be encouraged to develop your work and professional practice through evaluation and self-reflection.
