What will you be working towards?
CILEx (Chartered Institute of Legal Executives) Level 3 Diploma for Legal Secretaries is suitable for those who wish to specialise in secretarial or administrative support in the legal and business environment. The Level 3 Diploma for Legal Secretaries covers all aspects of the skills and knowledge required to carry out administrative and secretarial tasks within a legal environment. Skills and knowledge acquired on the course include legal word processing covering different types of legal documentation, focusing on the use of IT in the legal and business environment, communication and business skills necessary in the legal environment. This course includes CILEx (Chartered Institute of Legal Executives) Level 2 Certificate in Legal Studies which can be the first step for those wishing to pursue a career in the legal environment. This course includes the opportunity to take part in an industry placement in a sector relevant to your qualification and study programme. The placement will take place 1 or 2 days per week on the days when you are not in college studying. Industry placements are designed to give you the skills to start work at the end of your studies, progress into an apprenticeship, or to add to your UCAS statement.
How will it be delivered?
CILEx (Chartered Institute of Legal Executives) Exams / Assignments;
5 GCSE Grades A*-C, including English Language, or satisfactory completion of Level 2 Diploma in Administration, Level 2 CILEx (Chartered Institute of Legal Executives) Diploma for Legal Secretaries or equivalent. Applicants should be aged 17 or over.
