Overview

Put your culinary skills truly to the test by planning, preparing and serving meals in one of our two fine-dining restaurants. You will have the opportunity to supervise a kitchen team at The McLeods Restaurant, while also learning about recipe development, food sourcing and production. This course is intended for those wishing to become chefs but is also ideal for those already working in the industry.

Entry requirements

Five GCSEs at grade C/4 or above including English and maths at grade C/4 or above.

Your next steps...

Successful completion of the course will lead to excellent job prospects in hospitality and catering, and/or progression to a higher education course such as the HND/HNC in Hospitality & Events Management at MidKent College. You could become a development chef for a food retailer and further study could lead to a career in health and nutrition.
