The Level 3 Diploma is equivalent to 2 A levels
Course aims: This qualification enables students to acquire substantial cross¬-sector scientific knowledge and practical scientific skills, including carrying out practical laboratory tasks, planning investigations, collecting, analysing and presenting data, and reviewing and refining the methodology of practical and laboratory based work.
Units – 8 units of coursework
This will include:
1 Principles and Applications of Science I
2 Practical Scientific Procedures and Techniques
3 Science Investigation Skills
8 Physiology of Human Body Systems
5 x GCSE grades 9-4
A grade 5 in English, Math and 5-5 in Science is required.
Carrying out practical laboratory tasks, planning investigations, collecting, analysing and presenting data, and reviewing and refining the methodology of practical and laboratory based work.
Independent research skills, organized, attention to detail, self-disciplined, analytical, able to produce high quality coursework
Biology, Chemistry and Physics
Careers in STEM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering or Maths)
