Overview
The sports industry is growing year on year with over 450,000 job opportunities alone. This course gives you an excellent understanding of the key areas which will make you successful when applying for further education. As an example, the anatomy unit supports sports science, whereas , the fitness plan supports sport and fitness. The leadership unit prepares you for sports coaching and sports management. In the final unit you look into the sports industry and learn valuable skills on how to apply for jobs within the sector and the skills/qualities you will need.
This course can lead on to further education courses at University in programmes such as sports science, sports coaching., QTS in PE ( teacher) sport and leisure, sport and fitness, sports management, sports psychology.
Careers (& Salaries) that this subject can lead to: PE teachers, personal trainers, sports coach, physiotherapist, Sports scientist, sports development officer, jobs in the health sector, and jobs within a professional sports club or private gym.

These are obviously examination dates for this year’s sixth form students, this will give you an idea of when students would be expected to complete exams for their sixth form subjects.
