Overview

The course features a range of non-fiction literary texts, a contemporary novel and drama text, as contemporary poetry. There is also a coursework element which allows students to choose their own texts as stimulus for a creative writing portfolio.

An Anthology of non-fiction writing

1 drama text

1 novel

Poetry

Your own choice of texts for the coursework, which will be a basis for a portfolio of creative writing.

How will it be delivered?

2 examination papers (80%) and 1 NEA worth 20% of final grade.

Minimum of Grade 6 in GCSE English Language and Grade 5 in  English Literature
