Overview

This is an issues-based approach to studying Geography, enabling students to explore and evaluate contemporary geographical questions and challenges facing the world today.

Details

Over the duration of the A Level Geography course students will develop an in-depth understanding of physical and human Geography, the complexity of people and environmental questions and issues, and to become critical, reflective and independent learners.

How will it be delivered?

The course consists of four compulsory elements, including three examinations: Physical paper, Human paper, Synoptic paper. Students also complete an Independent Investigation (coursework) - students will be required to attend a minimum of four days of fieldwork, which will support geographical understanding in both human and physical geography.
