Overview

As part of this BTEC course, you will study five units covering a variety of customer service areas. You will also be expected to demonstrate effective working in a real customer-facing environment. This is a practical, work related course.  You will learn through a combination of classroom teaching to include group work, aided completion of coursework, role play, practical workshops and, where appropriate, hands on experience.  It could lead onto other vocational qualifications such as an apprenticeship programme in Hospitality, Customer Service, Retail or Event Management.

Units that you will study will be: Planning for Self Development in Customer Service, Providing Excellent Customer Service and Improving Customer Service. This short course offers you a specialist qualification for working in areas of customer service.

How will it be delivered?

You will be assessed by completing projects and assignments that are based on realistic workplace situations, activities and demands.

Entry requirements

3 GCSE grades at 4 or above including Business or similar subject area.

Your next steps...

With further training, you could go into a related employment such as a customer service agent, a restaurant or public house manager, shop manager or work within related hospitality fields within travel and transport industries. The course also provides you with the basic knowledge, understanding and skills that many employers are looking for.
