Further mathematics is studied as an additional course to the A-Level Mathematics. Across the two
years of the course you will study Core Maths 1, Core Maths 2 and two additional modules. The additional modules will consist of Further Mechanics 1 and Decision Mathematics 1.
At the end of the two years there will be four examinations. Two covering the content from both
Core modules and separate tests for further mechanics and decision mathematics.
5 GCSE or equivalent grades at 4 or above including a 7 in Mathematics. Students must also study A Level Maths
Some universities have further maths as a requirement for students who wish to study mathematics
to degree level.
