Overview
Students will have the opportunity to acquire knowledge and a critical understanding of both our legal system and crime. This course would suit students who wish to pursue a career within the field of law, or students who wish to gain a greater understanding of society.

How will it be delivered?
Students will study our changing awareness of crime, criminological theories, from crime scene to courtroom, as well as crime and punishment The course is 50% coursework and 50% external exam.
Entry requirements
Overall requirement for Post 16:
5 A* - C at GCSE (English and mathematics grade 4). Max 2 BTECs at merit can count.
Subject specific requirements: GCSE grade C in history or RE, or grade 5 in English (lang or lit)

You will be able to pursue careers in law, civil services and journalism. At university this qualification is well suited for law, sociology, psychology and criminology.
