During the 2 years you will develop your confidence and work closely with other students to build a sense of unity and collaboration; this is an exciting time for NTC’s Performing Arts department and you can be part of something special as we continue to grow the successful course. You will study a variety of units and gain a broad range of performance skills and knowledge. You will have regular performance workshop support where you will develop your craft in terms of voice and movement as well as specific support from current professionals working within the performing arts business.
During the course you will complete 4 units of work, they are broken up into the following:
- Unit 1 – Investigating Practitioners Work (External Exam)
- Unit 2 – Developing Skills for Live Performance (Internal Assessment)
- Unit 3 – Group Performance Workshop (External Assessment)
- Unit 19 – Acting Styles (Internal Assessment)
GCSE Drama/PA or equivalent creative qualification
Demonstration of performance ability
We will train students so that you can progress to Drama School or a practical University Course. You may also want to look more into theory/educational work at any of the leading universities. Alternatively, you may go straight into the performing arts business. Some possible choices include: Actor / Producer / Director/ Film and Television roles / Researcher / Runner / Lawyer / Journalist / Entertainer and many more.
