Overview
Further Mathematics is highly demanding and only a few students are capable of studying the course. If you love maths, want to study it at university and can handle the pace, Further Maths is an enjoyable and highly valued A Level.
Details
Further Mathematics is an extension of A Level Mathematics. To study Further Maths, you must also be studying A Level Maths. Students will study four additional units, two of them being Core Pure, two optional units Decision 1 and 2.
How will it be delivered?
Entry requirements
To take Further Mathematics a GCSE Mathematics Grade 8 is required. Although not essential, AQA GCSE Further Maths will be useful as this provides a good foundation to the course at A Level. Baseline testing will be carried out in the first few weeks of year 12, to further assess suitability and support students.
