For a full description of the course please see AS/A2 Mathematics and then add the following: If choosing Further Mathematics, you will need to complete the Mathematics course with both Statistics and Mechanics. At AS you will study - C1, C2, S1, M1 + D1 & FP1 At A2 you will study - C3, C4, S2, M2, FP2 & FP3

You could take this course to complement an Advanced GCE in Mathematics or as part of the A2 part of an Advanced GCE in Further Mathematics, which will support entry to higher education in areas of Mathematics, Electronics, Economics, Physics or more general higher education courses. With further training, you could go into a job related to Mathematics such as an Accountant, Engineer or Teacher. You could also go straight into a job as the AS GCE is a recognised qualification that will help you develop the skills, understanding and knowledge that many employers across lots of industries are looking for, especially in the economic and engineering sectors. You could take this course to compliment other advanced level courses, such as Economics, Physics or more general higher education courses, or to prepare for the A2 part of an Advanced GCE in Mathematics, which could lead onto higher education in areas of Mathematics.
