Business Studies Single Award

These are exciting courses which will give you a background into the world of business and will provide plenty of opportunities to look at businesses first hand. This pathway is a vocational based approach to learning with emphasis on practical based activities underpinned by core business theories.

Assessment is a mixture of coursework and external exams. The coursework is collected using assignments built around scenarios. They will include report writing, role plays, interviews, business letters and presentations. The final grade is given in a Pass, Merit, Distinction and Distinction* in line with BTEC guidelines.

We achieved outstanding results in this qualifications last year and have done so for a number of years. The Distinction* and Distinction national average was 14.5% and at Thamesview we achieved 82% with all our students completing the course with a minimum grade of Merit.
