Overview

Applied Science allows students who have an interest in Science and a drive to further develop a solid grounding in the discipline the opportunity to do so through both theoretical and practical study.

In addition to the theory behind the core basics of Biology, Chemistry and Physics, begun at GCSE, it focuses on the practical methodology needed to understand these areas of study and how these methods can be applied and extended into the professional realm of investigative and analytical science.

Study will be completed in both the classroom and the laboratory and will be led by established and experienced members of the Science team.

Study hours will be 6 per week over 2 years, with the possibility of additional time needed during the student’s investigative study.
