Overview
The ITGS course is the study and evaluation of the impacts of information technology on individuals and society. It explores the advantages and disadvantages of the access and use of digitised information at the local and global level.
Students will develop a strong technical understanding of IT systems and apply this knowledge to develop a system of their own to meet a specified client requirement.
Students will study the social and ethical significance of IT developments, the concepts and tools used to create IT.
Student Profile
No prior experience in the subject is required for this qualification, however all students should have a passion and interest in IT technology and be familiar with various terminology, concepts and tools.
This course can be taken on its own or as part of the IBCP programme, and has strong links to other subjects including Business, Finance and Maths.
