Overview
Environmental Systems and Societies is a subject that embraces a mix of both Biology and Geography. It is a very ‘current’ subject which looks at the problems of the environment, how humans interact with it and what we are doing to it. It is designed as a multidisciplinary approach to learning and is ideal for those students who have a keen interest in the sustainability of our planet as it is both engaging and thought provoking.

Students should be interested in the complex interactions between humans and the environment. The course requires a systems approach to environmental understanding and problem solving and promotes holistic thinking about environmental issues

Entry requirements
No previous knowledge is required. You do not have to do Geography at GCSE to do this IB Qualification.
Grade 5 in English
Grade 4 in Science
Four 4-9 grades in Level 2 subjects
