What will you be working towards?
This is a taster course providing aspiring artists with the opportunity to explore many different media and associated techniques and develop skills in each area. Elements of painting, printmaking, photography and sculpture will be underpinned throughout by drawing skills and research activities. All work will lead towards a final project centred around a personally chosen theme, area of interest and specialism. Additionally functional skills and work skills are undertake to help you progress. You will have access to industry standard studios/ workshops and working with tutors who are professionals in their own field. This course provides you the opportunity to work in a professional environment which is different to school and gain greater knowledge of the art and design world. Our Study Programme includes opportunities for you to develop your English and Maths skills as required. You may be expected to complete either functional skills or GCSE qualifications as part of your course depending on your GCSE results.
How will it be delivered?
Art Journals, Research books, Outcomes, Portfolio, Exhibitions and Presentations
4 GCSE's A*-D incl English and Maths (Grade 3-9), or equivalent, plus Portfolio, Interview and Task. Formal academic entry requirements may be waived for mature students however Portfolio, Interview and task will still apply
