What will you be working towards?
This qualification is suitable for a range of learners from the age of 16 onwards who have some experience in childcare. Learners must achieve a total of 33 credits (29 from mandatory Group A, plus 4 from optional Group B). A minimum of 250 placement hours are recommended for this qualification. Our Study Programme includes opportunities for you to develop your English and Maths skills as required. You may be expected to complete either functional skills or GCSE qualifications as part of your course depending on your GCSE results.
How will it be delivered?
All units internally assessed using direct observation within the workplace, a portfolio of evidence, written assignments or a task set by CACHE. Some learning outcomes within this qualification will require assessment in a real work environment.
Age 16+, 6 GCSEs including English and Maths at Grade D, 10 days relevant vocational work experience, good school report, all learners required to undertake enhanced police check (DBS).
