Course Details
Why this course?
The study of art is much more than just training of the eye. Through the study and practice of visual arts we are cultivating the act of observing, and in doing so we learn to perceive the world differently, as well as art. During this course students create a body of work that demonstrates a solid understanding of the vocabulary of the artist, through reading, writing, thinking, and questioning what they do as artists. The programme is intended to develop understanding of history and art appreciation; with students showing evidence of systematic research and investigation.
