Course Summary

A Traineeship is a programme lasting up to 52 weeks.

Ages 16-24

Functionals Skills - Entry 3-Level 2

Your Traineeship programme will be tailored to you, with accredited English and Maths qualifications (as required) and real work experience.

A traineeship can be completed at any of our centres across the county:

• Ashford

• Broadstairs

• Canterbury

• Dartford

• Deal

• Dover

• Folkestone

• Gravesend

• Maidstone

• Margate

• Sevenoaks

• Sittingbourne

• Tonbridge

• Tunbridge Wells




Course Details

A Traineeship is a programme lasting up to 52 weeks.

A Traineeship will put you in a better position to compete for an Apprenticeship or Employment

The opportunity to build your CV and get vital experience with local and national employers

Improving your English and Maths skills (1 day Functional Skills Maths & English if required in class at our local centres) will boost your chances of getting a job, as well as improving your long term prospects and earning potential over your lifetime

Employers are at the core of your Traineeship, they will support you by providing the skills you need to help you secure a job or apprenticeship in the future

Your tutor and employer will review your progress every 4 weeks to celebrate achievements and set achievable targets

At the end of your work placement, if a job vacancy arises you will get a guaranteed job interview with the employer, which may lead to a job offer or an Apprenticeship. If there are no vacancies, your employer will write you a reference

You may be able to apply for financial support from the 16-19 Bursary Fund


How will it be delivered and assessed?

Learners will be assessed at Induction Day to determine which course/level is appropriate for their next steps.

Learners will take an Initial Assessment on Skills Forward which will help to identify how best to support each individual on their course.

Your tutor and employer will review your progress in the workplace throughout the duration of your Traineeship

If you are aged 16 to 24 , not in full-time employment, education or training.
