About us
Welcome to Dover Grammar School for Girls
An Outstanding School (OFSTED2006/ 2007 and 2013/14). Choosing to join the Sixth Form at DGGS will guarantee a rounded academic and personal education. The school provides excellent individual support for each student. Our school aims to develop the whole person and encourages Sixth Form students to be active members of the school community.
We welcome applications from students from other schools. Students wishing to join the Sixth Form but not recently resident in this country will need to supply details of all examinations taken and grades received, with information upon their equivalence within the English system. We would, ideally, like applications to be submitted by Thursday 8th January 2026, when planning for the timetable will begin, but applications will be accepted after this date.
Please note: ·Throughout the Sixth Form every student studies 4 courses. These courses could be any one of the following:
4 A level Subjects
3 A Levels plus a co-teachable AS
3 A Levels plus a Personalised Enrichment Pathway (PEP) course
You must choose your subjects carefully and record them in order of preference because the timetable design will be based on these choices. We will work on your order of priority when timetabling your subjects.
·Subjects will be withdrawn if there is insufficient demand.
