Many of you will already have received your application registration letters from KCC. However, if you currently attend an independent school or a school outside Kent or this country, you will need to self-register on UCAS Progress to make an application. The following is the link for self-registration on UCAS Progress: https://www.ucasprogress.com/account/pickaschool. Please note that this link has to be pasted in your browser as it does not work directly, as does the link to our Option Blocks

About us

Welcome to our part of the on-line prospectus and thank you for considering Gravesend Grammar School. We hope that before you make the important decision about which school you choose, you will come and sample the atmosphere for yourself. Gravesend Grammar School is an 11 - 18 selective boys Grammar School, with a mixed Sixth form. Over the years the School has grown but it remains small enough for staff to know the boys well and for parents to recognise the value this brings in terms of the relationships that are developed.

The School has a well-deserved reputation for academic success built up through the hand work of staff and students who are dedicated to achieving the best they possible can. Demands on you will be high, as will our expectations. We believe though, that education is about more than exam results, important as they are. The School is also well known for a range of other activities. Sport features strongly and the School has a Sportsmark award. Music and Drama also provide a wealth of opportunities to participate in concerts and productions.

We hope students will leave us having challenged themselves in a variety of areas and succeeded in something as well as their exams. We hope to produce young people who will participate and be valuable members of their communities. We hope that you chose Gravesend Grammar School and that you will leave us as a successful person with a range of interests, good memories and good friends.
