Welcome to St George's Church of England Foundation School (Broadstairs)
The Sixth Form at St George's Church of England Foundation School is an integral and important part of the whole school. We are fortunate to have State of the Art facilities that has transformed teaching and learning. The results that our Sixth Form pupils achieve are excellent, enabling them to choose the option of University or work.
St George's Church of England Foundation School provides teaching and learning that engages, challenges and prepares pupils for the demands of the 21st Century within the context of a caring and supportive community.
We are pleased to continue to run our Sixth Form scholarship programme , in a partnership between TSC Football Academy and ourselves. This scholarship programme provides the opportunity for sixth form football players to enter a full time football programme, trained by professional coaches, alongside their academic studies.
Players / coaches will train throughout the week with TSC and will represent the school in the Kent Academies League. All players will be given the opportunity to go through their FA Level 1 coaching badge, as part of the programme. This will enable players to leave with a qualified coaching badge, alongside their Level 3 qualifications.
I look forward to you joining the St George's Sixth Form
St George's Church of England Foundation School 6th Form is based around strong Christian Values. All pupils will be based in a Tutor group where these values will be reiterated.
The Sixth Form has a strong track record of examination success at post-16 vocational courses, and a high proportion of pupils go on to university and college, many of whom are the first generation in their families to do so.
The School also provides a strong enrichment programme where pupils support a number of the younger members of the school with their literacy and numeracy skills.
There are also a team of pupils who support some of the more vulnerable pupils in class in order to ensure that progress is made, this is of a huge benefit to our 6th form pupils, when they apply for higher education courses.
