Welcome to Wye School
Wye School, which opened in September 2013, is an all-ability, co-educational school serving up to 600 students aged 11 to 19. It began with a single Year 7 group in 2013 and has grown each year since.
Through a broad and balanced curriculum which draws on the rich local environment and a wide range of exciting extracurricular activities, Wye School seeks to give each student an outstanding education.
As a Free School, it is independent of the local authority and free to attend. It is part of United Learning – a group of over 60 independent schools and academies across the country. It is quickly establishing itself at the heart of the Wye community and is working closely with other local schools and the wider community, in particular Ashford School, our United Learning partner.
We hope this website answers any questions you may have about Wye School. If you have any other questions, please contact us.

Learner success
Our first GCSE results in 2018 were above Kent and England average and the best for a non-selective school in the area by quite some margin.
