A Level Art and Design - Invicta Grammar School

Entry Requirements: - Five GCSEs at Grade 4 or above, including English, and the individual subject entry requirements.

How many subjects can you choose: - You MUST choose 3 subjects (these can be mixture of A-level or BTEC's). Please DO NOT choose anymore than 5 subjects.

Please note that if you are intending to study a course at Invicta Grammar School as part of your course choices, you can only study one Invicta course (maximum) alongside two Valley Park courses.

Your application will be acknowledged and conditional offer letters will be sent out after the closing date.

This subject offers opportunities for personal expression, and encourages imagination, creativity, sensitivity, conceptual thinking, observation, analytical abilities and practical skills. During the course, help will be given on the preparation and presentation of a portfolio of work for interview, as many students apply for Higher Education courses in Art at Foundation or Degree level.

6/above in GCSE Art. Alternatively, students who have studied a creative subject at GCSE will be considered, with a submission of a portfolio in advance.

This course can be studied as part of the Valley Park Curriculum offer where students within the Valley Invicta Academy trust may avail of courses on offer in our partner schools across the trust.
