Course Summary

Computers feature in all our lives; in science, technology, manufacturing, research, medicine; computing influences and affects everything we do.

In the modern world, being online is an essential part of living. The power of the Internet means you can shop online, see right around the globe, visit virtual worlds, play games, watch films, blog with friends and relatives anywhere, any time. Computer Science links strongly with many subjects, providing both the skills from modelling and computational thinking that may be needed in Business, Mathematics, Geography and the Sciences.

In the UK there is a sever shortage of programmers, network engineers, database administrators and cyber security experts, all of which form the basis of our study in Computer Science. Being able to program to a professional level is a marketable and lucrative asset.
