Course Summary
This is a two year course.
This course is for students wishing to continue their studies in Graphic Design.
Candidates will be introduced to a variety of experiences exploring a range of graphics media and techniques relating to the use of Graphics in Visual forms. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate skills specific to these studies, such as mark making, exploration of typography and Commercial Graphic Design. An important part of the course is the study of historical and contemporary developments and different styles and genres in the industry. Grading will be taken from the completion of units and a practical exam.
How will it be delivered and assessed?
This is a two year course. 60% exam and 40% coursework.
Entry requirements
Students must of achieved four GCSE grade 4 and above in a relevant subject.

You could take this course with other advanced level courses such as History of Art to prepare for higher education in areas of art and design, photography, architecture or more general higher education courses. With further training, you could go into a job related to art and design such as an Architect, Interior or Fashion Designer.
