Course Summary
Health and Social care is such an important part of today’s society, and more than ever this sector is struggling to recruit qualified professionals in these areas. It is therefore so important that young people choose to take such an important qualification to help these struggling environments. This Health and Social Care qualification is so diverse and allows you to learn and apply your skills, knowledge an understanding in a variety of ways. You will study many different units in both exam and coursework components. All coursework units are marked internally and then externally moderated, and all exam units are marked as is tradition, by external examiners. This course is equivalent to one and a half A levels and so the number of units that need to be completed reflects this.
As Health and Social Care is so diverse you can expect to be able to gain a career in many different areas. So far I have had successful students who have gone on to be professionals in the following areas: Midwifery, nursing, police, fire fighters, teachers, social workers and nursery nurses to name just a few.
