Course Summary

IBCP students will take a minimum of three courses of study. All of these will be Level 3 courses (A/AS Level equivalent). The courses will be a combination of vocational BTEC qualification (equivalent to up to 3 A Levels, approximately 10 hours of study per week) and 2 IB subjects (approx. AS level each and studied for 5 hours a fortnight). If you select this subject you must also select two IB subjects in your application.

The BTEC Level 3 Art and Design Diploma is a structured course designed to enable you to channel your artistic, creative skills, whilst improving on your use of a diverse range of equipment, techniques and processes.

By completing this course, you will be well equipped for either a degree course, in a variety of Fine Art specialism, or you will have a strong foundation to enter the creative sector. You will develop your ability to effectively visually record, manipulate, plan, design then execute challenging art work.

Students will respond to briefs and scenarios that will inform their tasks and assignments, designed to prepare them for the creative sector and higher education. This course is designed to bypass art foundation after Y13 and allow direct entry to university.
