Course Summary
This course will provide you with the opportunity to learn what a real career in management or administration is likely to involve, whilst you continue in education. You will study a wide range of contexts, including private, public and not-for-profit organizations, in addition to national and global companies. Furthermore, your compulsory industry placement will last for a minimum of 45 days.

You will study a range of topics including:
- Organisational objectives and strategies
- Organisational cultures and values
- Maintaining and improving quality within organisations
- Finance: double entry bookkeeping, budgeting, reporting of financial statements, and auditing
- Change management
- Project Management
How will it be delivered and assessed?
The core knowledge and understanding of the course content is assessed through an examination and core skills through a practical employer-set project.
The employer-set project offers the prospect of creating and applying a minimum variety of core skills vital for employability. Students must demonstrate the following core skills:
- Business context and commercial awareness e.g., conduct a PESTLE analysis to inform a change project
- Project management e.g., introducing a new policy or training programme
- Communication e.g., making a presentation to a customer
- Working collaboratively e.g., to develop a business improvement solution
- Problem solving e.g., undertaking a cost/benefit analysis of the introduction of new procedures
- Research e.g., identifying sources and obtaining information related to a project
Entry requirements
Five GCSEs at grade 5 or above, including English and Maths at grade 4.
Your next steps...
This qualification can help you to progress into skilled employment or a higher apprenticeship. Career paths could involve working in project management, financial management or human resource management. Alternatively, your T Level will be worth UCAS points and will allow you to progress to higher education.
