Overview. Our Level 1 Motor Vehicle Programme is a perfect introduction into one of the largest industries in the country. You will have the opportunity to train in our industry standard workshops and build your skills to prepare for our level 2 course or an apprenticeship. What is covered. You will study all areas of motor vehicle maintenance from engines, gearboxes and electrics, to brakes, steering and suspension. You will also learn about health and safety and the skills needed to work in the motor industry. Assessment method. You will complete an online e-Portfolio and practical tasks throughout the year. There is 1 online examination. This full-time course also includes a tutorial progamme which aims to help you to become successful independent learners, supports your well-being, provides careers guidance and advice as well as helps to further develop your knoweldge and skills to become active citzens who contribute positively to society.

A minimum of four GCSEs at grade 2/F or above, including English or maths.

You could progress to our Level 2 Certificate in Light Vehicle Maintenance or an apprenticeship.
