Course Summary
This is a newly developed Chemistry course, with the first AS exams in 2016 and the first A level exams in 2017. It has been developed to allow students to make the transition from GCSE to A level through a series of steps including mathematical skills, practical skills and the application of knowledge from one context to another.
The central aim of this course is to allow students to think as Chemists, which enable them to fully appreciate the role that Chemistry plays in the modern world. Students are encouraged to think analytically and to question the world around them through their newfound knowledge and skills.
This course provides an excellent base for students to continue their scientific career into further education. Ideal options for progression include degrees in Chemistry, Environmental Sciences, Nursing, Dental Hygiene and Medicine.
