Course Summary

The aim of this qualification is to give you the knowledge and understanding of babies and young children from birth to eleven years of age with applied knowledge in the early years.

This course is for those who are interested in working in the early years settings in the role of Early Years Practitioner, and who wish to progress onto Level 3 Early Childhood Development and or Level 3 Health and Social Care.

You'll study a range of units and topics such as Child development, Supporting children's learning through play, Safeguarding the welfare of babies and children and also contributing to Observation, Assessment and Planning to Support Children’s Development.

You will complete written work as well as practical tasks in your chosen placement.


Course Details

This Level 2 course allows you to study and explore a range of interesting units of work, all relevant to providing an in-depth view of the world of work in Health and Social Care. You will investigate the sector in the classroom and will also go out into a range of workplace settings, allowing you to put theory into practice.

This course is for those who are interested in working in the Health or Social Care environment and who wish to progress onto Level 3 Early Childhood Development and or Level 3 Health and Social Care.

Topics covered include Equality and diversity in health and social care, Human growth and development, Safeguarding and protecting in health and social care, Communication in health and social care and Working in health and social care.

You will complete written work as well as practical tasks in your chosen placement.
