There will be a cost of approximately �100 to cover the cost of tools, materials, and books. You will also need to provide your own safety boots and overalls.

Course Summary

During this exciting one-year course, you will learn theoretical and practical skills in engineering. You will have practical sessions in our dedicated workshops where you will learn about engineering machinery, touch upon computer-aided design (CAD) and improve your mathematical and scientific knowledge.

How will it be delivered and assessed?

You will be assessed during a variety of written and practical of tasks, and assessed on your accuracy and ability to complete tasks within a time constraint.

Entry requirements

Minimum four grade 3-9/D-A* at GCSE including English and Maths. Or have successfully completed the Level 1 qualification and achieved GCSE English and Maths at grade 3/D.

Your next steps...

The hands-on nature of this course forms a large part of the Level 2 Apprenticeship framework, making it easy for you to progress into the Engineering apprenticeship or continue onto the Level 3 Engineering course. There are a number of career options you can choose such as becoming an Engineering trainee or apprentice Mechanical engineer and Machine operator.
