Course Summary
Studying Literature means opening doors to the past, giving voices to the people who may not otherwise be heard and engaging with life around the world, in every possible respect.
Through the study of Literature, you not only develop a knowledge of texts but also the period they were written in, the struggles of everyday people, their place in the world and their significance in shaping who we, as a society, have become. On top of this, you will develop your personal voice, empathy, social awareness and character.
Studying Literature is not just reading - it's studying humanity, not only learning about others but about yourself.
