Course Summary
This is a two year course which will result in a single A Level. This can be taken in a combination with other level 3 courses (including A level and vocational).
IIf taken, students will need to choose two other level 3 qualifications and will be requested to do our mandatory enrichment programme. This programme covers a range of different employment skills, other qualifications and experiences that students can use for their post 18 destinations.
Course Details
The LIBF is the London Institute of Banking & Finance and they have accredited this qualification. The LIBF has been in existence for over 130 years and has over 53,000 pupils studying with them through around 800 schools
This qualification consists of 4 units for the diploma and 3 for the certificate.
Unit 1 – Financial Capability for the Immediate and Short Term
Unit 2 - Financial Capability for the Medium and Long Term
Unit 3 – Sustainability of an Individual’s Finances
Unit 4 – Sustainability of the Financial Services System
All units are assessed by 2 papers – Part A (35% of each unit) is a 45 minute multiple choice paper performed on-line, and Part B (65% of each unit) is a 1hour 45 minute written exam based on case studies released 6 weeks before the exam.

100% examination.
Entry requirements
Grade 5 in GCSE English and grade 5 in mathematics.
