Course Summary

This course explores and investigates the Health and Social care sector through a range of diverse units. The qualification develops a deep common core of knowledge, understanding, and skills through mandatory content. The course is designed for students with an interest in a career in the health service or social care sector and is ideal to study alongside A Levels if you are looking to move into the healthcare sector.

How will it be delivered and assessed?

There are 2 external units assessed through exams. The remaining 2 are assessed internally through assignments/projects and case studies.

Entry requirements

At least 5 GCSEs graded 9-4 including English or Maths at grade 4 or above.

Equipment required

Students will be expected to pay for their own transport to and from placement, a DBS check and uniform. There will be some trips and visits, which will incur travelling costs and will be a compulsory part of the course.
