Course Details

Unit 1 – Fundamentals of IT (Exam)

Unit 2 – Global Information (Exam)

Unit 3 – Cyber Security (Exam)

Unit 9 – Product Development (Coursework)

Unit 17 – Internet of Everything (Coursework)

How will it be delivered and assessed?

Units 1, 2 and 3 are undertaken in year 12 and are examination units.

Units 9 and 17 are coursework units and is first internally marked and moderated by your teachers, this is then sent off to OCR who externally moderate and bank the marks achieved.

Entry requirements

Grade 4 in IT based subject OR Grade 4 in English if new to the subject.

Your next steps...

Students will gain knowledge on various aspects of IT required in the workplace if one wishes to pursue a career as an IT technician, mobile application developer, software developer or website designer.

This course will allow you to continue your studies at university and undertake a degree in software development, network management and/or website development.
