Throughout the year you may be required to buy art materials which will cost approximately �50 - �100. There may also be opportunities to participate in trips and visits to extend your learning, but these may incur additional costs.

Course Summary

Study with us to gain a greater insight into the production of photography. We will teach you advanced skills in capturing stunning imagery while you understand the theory of composition, lighting, focus and exposure and develop your ideas into engaging pieces of art.

How will it be delivered and assessed?

You will be assessed by a combination of both practical and written work, documented in a portfolio to show evidence of individual research, personal development and concepts. During your final year project you will be required to create a piece of practical work during a timed assessment.

After you have completed the course you may progress into further study of photography at our University Centre Hastings, joining our popular BA (Hons) Visual Communications: Photography degree. There are a number of career opportunities available to you after studying this qualification, for instance you may become a commercial photographer, wedding photographer, photojournalist, photographic technician, film specialist, art director, an artist or picture researcher.
