This course puts emphaisis on applying theory to practice through 3 units: Physiological factors which improve performance; Socio-cultural and historical effects on participation; and coursework which includes a personal exercise plan and identifying strengths/weaknesses of a practical performance.

5Bs at GCSE

You could take this course with other advanced level courses such as Science to prepare for higher education in areas of Sport Studies, Recreation, Exercise and Science or more general higher education courses. With further training you could go into a job related to Physical Education such as a Physiotherapist, Teacher, Exercise or Fitness Trainer. The course will also help you develop the skills, understanding and knowledge that many employers across lots of industries are looking for, especially in the sporting sectors.
