Sociology A Level

Entry Requirements: - Vary by course please see individual subject information on this website. We also require students to achieve at least five Grade 5s or above at GCSE for Level 3 curriculum. For our Level 2 Pathway, students need to have five Grade 3s or above, inlcuding English and Maths

Studying Sociology allows students to examine some of the ways in which our behaviour and attitudes are shaped by being part of society. Students will look at the effects that the mass media, education, money, ethnicity, gender and religion have on us and the effects we have on them. Topics covered: Sociology of Religion, Stratification (class, gender, ethnicity and age), and Sociological Theory.

Grade 5 in GCSE Sociology or Grade 5 in GCSE English.
