City and Guilds Level 2 Diploma in Hairdressing

Learn the key skills needed to work as a qualified hairdresser in this Level 2 Hairdressing course.

You will learn the basics of the hair industry, as well as the essential knowledge needed to start your career in a salon. You will also develop your practical skills in the creative art of cutting and dressing women?s hair.

Our curriculum covers areas including:

• Cutting and colouring

• Stock control
• Styling and setting
• Diagnostic work

In our industry-standard salons, put your skills into practice on real clients whilst learning from experts in the field.

Assessment is done through practical observations in our salons, with one for each unit. There are also online exams taken as part of the course. You will create a portfolio throughout the course which can aid assessment and show your work to employers in the future.

Once you finish your course, you will be ready to start in an entry-level position in the hair and beauty industry. You can also go onto further study in this area, such as a Level 3 qualification, or an Apprenticeship.
