GCSE (9-1) Mathematics (Lvl-2)

An essential qualification if you want to go on to further study, and a basic requirement for many jobs, this course will enable you to develop your abilities in mathematics.

GCSE Maths is designed to enable students of all abilities to analyse situations mathematically, as well as problem solve using maths.

The main areas you will look at on this course are:

• Ratio
• Number
• Algebra
• Statistics
• Geometry

You must be 19+ when you start the course and ideally have GCSE Maths at grade 3 from the last three years.

At the interview stage, you will have your numeracy levels assessed. You must demonstrate that you are working at GCSE grade D/3 standard. If this is not the case, a more appropriate level of Functional Skills may be offered to build up your skills before attempting the GCSE course later.

When you achieve your GCSE Maths qualification, you will be able to attain promotion in your current industry, or switch careers if you are looking for a fresh start.

You will also be able to progress onto further study if you have already achieved GCSE English.
