Course Summary

This course introduces the role of a bookkeeper, teaching the underpinning knowledge needed to carry out bookkeeping activities. Ideal for those who are self-employed or working in small businesses who wish to do their own bookkeeping.

Course Details

You will develop an understanding of the role of a bookkeeper, learning underpinning theory including:

  • How to identify assets, liabilities, income and expenses
  • How to identify profit and loss
  • Trading for cash vs trading on credit
  • Dual effect of transactions

How will it be delivered and assessed?

Students must pass one end-of-qualification assessment, which is assessed externally.
