Level 1 Certificate in Bricklaying

Build your knowledge of bricklaying and begin your journey into the construction industry.

This course will introduce students to the basics of bricklaying. Students will cover:

• Health and Safety in Construction
• Working and Communicating Effectively in Construction Trades
• Building a Block Wall
• Building a Brick Wall
• Building a Cavity Wall

Throughout the course, you will learn a wide variety of skills and techniques in our well-equipped workshops.

You will learn through practical lessons in the workshops. Assessment will be through completing a portfolio of work, practical observations, written work and online tests.

On successful completion you could progress onto our Part-time Level 2 Bricklaying course. Alternatively, you could seek employment within the industry (you may need to gain a CSCS Card first).
