Course Summary

Build your knowledge of bricklaying and begin your journey into the construction industry.

Course Details

This course will introduce students to the basics of bricklaying. Students will cover:

Health and Safety in Construction
The Construction Industry
Basic Tool Skills and Maintenance
Setting Out Masonry Structures
Construct Solid Walls
Construct Cavity Walls
Construct Masonry Cladding
Repair and Maintain Masonry

Throughout the course, you will learn a wide variety of skills and techniques in our well-equipped workshops.

How will it be delivered and assessed?

You will learn through practical lessons in the workshops. Assessment will be through completing a portfolio of work, practical observations, written work and online tests.

Your next steps...

On successful completion you could progress onto a Level 3 course. Alternatively, you could seek employment within the industry (you may need to gain a CSCS Card first).
