Level 3 Automotive (Adult PT Evening)

Explore the theoretical and practical skills needed to pursue a career in the automotive industry. This course will introduce students to routine vehicle inspection, fitting, maintenance, diagnostic and rectification activities.

This course is ideal if you are interested in a career linked to the motor racing industry, both nationally and internationally.

You will cover:

• Health and Safety in the Workplace
• Tool Skills and Maintenance
• Routine Maintenance and Repair
• Vehicle Systems (engine lubrication, cooling and fuel systems, chassis systems including brakes, steering and suspension and electrical areas)
• Scanning Equipment
• CAD

Assessment will be through practical assessments and written work. Online examinations will also take place.

On successful completion you will have the option to progress onto further study. Alternatively, you could seek employment within the industry.
